The ATP World Tour moves quickly from clay to grass the week immediately following Roland Garros. In the road leading to Wimbledon is the Gerry Weber Open, an ATP 250 event in Halle, Germany. Roger Federer is entered to play, seeded second in the draw. The Swiss is a five time champion at the event, looking for his 6th title before he seeks his 7th title at Wimbledon.
Federer receives a first round bye, facing either Florian Mayer or a qualifier in the second round. He is seeded to meet Milos Raonic in the quarterfinals, Alexandr Dolgopolov in the semifinals, and Rafael Nadal in the final.
