Roger Federer 2018 Gerry Weber Open Nike Outfit – World #1 Roger Federer will carry over his Nike outfit seen last week at the Mercedes Cup, where he won his third title in 2018 and reclaimed the top ranking from Rafael Nadal for a third time this season. Amidst rumors of the Swiss maestro leaving Nike to switch to other companies making lucrative long term offers, Federer is still sporting the latest apparel and footwear from the swoosh company. In his press conference shortly after arriving in Stuttgart for the Mercedes Cup, the Swiss clarified that his Nike contract ended on March 1, and talks are ongoing. “It’s rumors…but I don’t have a contract with Nike since March. We’re talking. We’ll see what happens. I’ll let you know,” said Federer.
Originally intended to be his outfit for Roland Garros with carryover to the grass court tournaments prior to Wimbledon, the 20-time grand slam champion will wear the new kit for the first time this week. Prominent colors of the apparel and gear are green bleached aqua, green abyss, and black. The new outfit is from Nike’s summer 2018 line.
