The Wimbledon draw ceremony was held Friday morning in London, as Roger Federer, seeded third, will begin his quest for a record 8th Wimbledon title and 18th grand slam. The Swiss maestro is drawn into the top half, setting up a potential semifinal against Novak Djokovic. The 7-time champion will start off against Guido Pella of Argentina in the first round. His likely path from there includes Richardas Berankis in the second round, Alexandr Dolgopolov in the third round, Gilles Simon in the fourth round, and Kei Nishikori in the quarterfinals.
Leading the bottom half of the draw are second seed Andy Murray, fourth seed Stan Wawrinka, and eighth seed Dominic Thiem. Play begins Monday, June 27 in SW19 at the All England Club. Schedules and order of play are expected to be announced by Sunday afternoon. View the complete Wimbledon 2016 draw below.
