In an interview with Rene Stauffer (author of Roger Federer: Quest for Perfection), while on a train on route to a event for sponsor National Suisse, Federer spoke about things in the present and future.
Federer said he was surprised that Murray asked for a wild card in next week’s Swiss Indoors, saying “thought he had a contract with Valencia.” Also, he said he is still unsure about both Davis Cup vs the USA early in 2012 and mixed doubles with Martina Hingis at the London Olympics.
The best for last, Roger also said he will for sure play on in 2013. This is great news for Federer fans as it is an amazing display of tennis anytime the Swiss maestro steps on court.
