The legendary Nike Air Oscillate shoe worn by Pete Sampras has been given a modern take, in the form of the NikeLab Oscillate Evolve RF. The shoe pays homage to one of Roger Federer’s favorite Nike tennis silhouettes: 1997’s Tinker Hatfield-designed Nike Air Oscillate.
From Nike’s description, the NikeCourt Oscillate Evolve x RF Men’s Shoe provides a premium take on the classic Nike Oscillate by using suede on an elevated tennis silhouette that only the greatness of Roger Federer can inspire. The shoe is courted as legend-inspired luxury, having a lightweight foam sockliner with a leather top cloth provides luxurious, off-court comfort. It’s champion approved, with a Roger Federer emblem on the tongue further elevates his everyday style.
Going further, it’s all in the details. The shoe features a partially translucent outsole, suede overlays with rolled edges for premium finish, and waxed cotton laces. It comes in two colors, sail/sail/vachetta tan/sail, and obsidian/light armory blue/sail/obsidian.
The NikeCourt Oscillate Evolve x RF shoe is available in limited quantities on the Nike+ app, online (direct link), and at select retailers.
