Roger Federer has won 16 grand slam titles, 19 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles, an Olympic gold medal in doubles, and now, he has his own street in Halle, Germany. The news came yesterday, as officials paid tribute to the Swiss maestro by creating “Roger-Federer-Allee.”
Halle is host to the Gerry Weber Open, the grass court event which Federer has won 5 times. The newly named street, “Roger-Federer-Allee,” leads to the main stadium, Weststrasse. The Swiss star said it was “an amazing honor” and that he was “extremely humbled” by the kind gesture. Read his letter to Ralf Weber below.
