At the Cincinnati masters this week, Roger opened with a tough match vs Juan Martin del Potro. Federer played solid tennis from start to finish to defeat Delpo, 6-3 7-5. Impressive play from Roger as he broke once in each set, at 2-1 in the first set and at 5-all in the second set. As the maestro more than often does, today was a routine display of precision, balance of aggression, and authoritative shot-making. I believe Roger said “it’s great to see you back on tour, you were missed” when shaking hands with Delpo at the net. That’s the always gracious Rogelio.
