Well that was short but unfortunate. Gilles Simon retired on a changeover down 3-0 in the first set and Roger Federer is thru to the semifinals in Miami. The reasons are still widely unknown but early reports say it may have been related to his shoulder, back, or waking up with a stiff neck. Regardless, Roger awaits the winner of tonight’s match between Rafa Nadal and Tomas Berdych. He should be well rested but perhaps he will head back out to the practice courts to work on a few things since he hardly broke a sweat out there today. Lets hope Gilles Simon recovers soon.
